Risk Appetite and Tolerance

Risk Appetite and Tolerance refer to the amount of supply chain risk an organization is willing to take in order to meet its strategic objectives. Risk appetite and tolerance specifies the boundaries for the appropriate amount of risk taking within an appropriate level of authority. It drives the decision regarding whether or not a risk should be accepted, treated, and re-treated as a result of residual risks.
